Baby Gift Clouds is very proud to present a collection of boys christening gowns for the discriminating and traditional taste. Our boys collection is offered in luxurious fabrics from soft cotton batiste to the softest silk shantung, and features beautiful embroidery, lace and pin tucking to bring out your son's masculine features. Please browse our collection - we are confident you will find an appropriate gown. |

| The History of the Christening and Baptism Gown began in the late 18th century as a white gown; know as a lawn that is longer than the baby and fancier than a day gown. The church insisted, at that time, that the ceremony was conducted in a white garment as a symbol of purity and innocence. During the 18th century boy and girl christening and baptism were were created from silks and satin and were finely embroidered. Cotton became more accessible and popular in the 19th century and became the fabric of choice. Intricate white work patterns began to emerge, lovingly embroidered onto fine white cotton lawns, creating fashionable gowns that mimicked the ladies styles of the period. We are particularly proud of our collection of boys christening and baptism gowns, we hope that you will enjoy them also. |
